Big Bear

We went up to Big Bear last weekend to hit the slopes and enjoyed our time in a big house. 11 of us went up and we had a great time. Josh was entertaining with his neon pink gloves. Murphy concentrated on keeping upright on his skiis. Scott lost our NCAA bracket bet again this year and had to do a run down in his swim trunks. It was so warm that it wasn't even that weird! Still entertaining, though. On one run down (more clothed), he took a video with my camera. There were beautiful views up there!

A Wedding and a Baby

I went to Florida to be in Nicole's wedding and to meet Katie's cutest Tyler. I had so much fun with him and loved him more than I could have ever imagined! Here is a video of him giggling before Nicole's wedding and us girls egging him on. Isn't he adorable!? I also have a crazy number of pictures that I just had to post. Nicole was beautiful and shining the whole time I was there - her husband is so perfect for her and really makes her happy. And guess what? I caught the bouquet! :D You know what that means! ;-)

Vote for Sanjaya!

You'll all think I'm a complete dork for this post, but oh well. I haven't watched American Idol since the first season and decided to watch it again this year. I have been absolutely horrified the last few weeks that this kid, Sanjaya keeps getting through the rounds and is now in the top 11! Scott wants to start a ruin American Idol campaign and have everyone vote for him until he wins and then ruins American Idol. I say get him out of there, though. What do you think? :D

Into Restoration

I decided to get all fancy and refinish a kitchen table that I've had for a few years and was already beaten up and rough when I got it. A friend running by caught a picture of it, so I thought I'd share!

A Waffle Party!

Shelly had us over for a waffle party in her fancy waffle maker - they were so yummy! We also got to see how cute Jo looks with her pregnant belly getting bigger by the day.

A Day of Ping-Pong, BBQ and Bands

First, Scott impressed us all with his ping-pong playing abilities, beating everyone in his path.




Then the BBQ started

I made a cute new friend, too - her name is Bacon.

There was some karaoking going on.

Then we went to hear a friend's band play - they are called 'The Oaks'. Good times!

More babies!

Owen and Marta just had their beautiful little girl a few weeks ago and I went and visited with them for a little while. Annica is such a sweetheart and is so beautiful. Right now I think she looks more like Marta, but who knows how she'll change in the next little bit. I loved holding her and watching her sweet little faces.

Superbowl 2007

Okay, so this is way past due, but since I haven't posted anything in a while and haven't been taking a lot of pictures lately, I'll go back to the big Superbowl day.
It started with Xbox playing.

Then the game and the smorgasbord of food came.

Then the careful concentration of the game on Scott's big screen TV.


While the girls ate and ate some more.

And then goofing off and watching YouTube videos on the computer. While the game was going on - what the ....?

Whale Watching with Family

Scott and I met Kristin, Wil and Billy (or as I called him, Bob) up at Dana Point to go Whale Watching. It was a really great trip! We saw a lot of both whales and dolphins - also sea lions, our old friends from the Galapagos. It was great to see family and a fun trip. The guys on the boat who have been doing this for years said it is the first time they have seen whales behave in this way. They were playing on the surface of the water with the dolphins and we got so many glances! The video shows some great shots. The whale had shot straight up out of the water at the beginning, but you can barely see it. Then you can see the dolphins playing all around and the whale rolling around - totally awesome! The dolphins were really cool too. I had never seen them with two distinct colors like this. They were swimming and playing all around the boat and let us see them up close. It's hard to get a good photo shot, though.

Babies in Snow!

Katie's little Tyler is getting big quick! They had snow in Nashville and I just loved the photo of him sitting up in his little snowsuit. :D
