More Pics

I forgot to put up these other Christmas pics from Christmas day. We went to the beach and it was a beautiful day out. We even saw two Christmas trees on the beach! Only in California. :D Here is a picture of me, too in one of my new outfits. I hadn't bought new clothes in a long time, so now I'm fancying myself up!

Holiday Bowl

We got free tickets for the Holiday Bowl game and were excited to get to enjoy it. I got a new camera for Christmas, so I was able to use some of the great new features. Notice the picture that is all in black and white except for the green football field. And the fireworks - my camera has a fireworks option. FUN! The game was fun, too but most of all I was enjoying my new camera.

An Irish Outing

Since Scott didn't work last week, we were able to do a lot of things. One night, we went downtown to our favorite Irish bar, the Field and had a yummy dinner and then listened to a guy playing Irish music.

Merry Christmas!

A couple of days before Christmas, Scott and I went up to LA and met Kim and her boyfriend in Venice Beach. Scott and I had a nice day walking around the beach, watching the weirdos on the boardwalk. We had a great dinner with them, too before heading back to wonderful San Diego. Being in LA really makes me thankful that I live in San Diego.

On Christmas Eve, I made my first ever turkey, along with a lot of yummy sides and a pecan pie. It was great! Unfortunately, there were only Scott and I here to enjoy, but we stuffed ourselves and enjoyed it plenty.

Here is our beautiful tree and each of us opening gifts on Christmas day. Yep - that's a new IPOD Nano that I'm holding - FUN!

Memories!

Rebecca sent me some pictures that she took right before Scott and I took off for our trip and this one is just perfect!

Happy Hanukkah!

Rebecca had our girls' night last week at her place for a fun Hanukkah party. She made tons of yummy 'Jew Food' (it's okay for me to say it because they are her words) and I couldn't believe how awesome it was. Matzoh ball soup, potato latkes, kugel - YUMMY! She let me light a minorah with her too. I love Hanukkah!

Nice Quote to think about

I will have pictures soon, but I read a great quote in an e-mail today and wanted to share it.

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best o f everything.

Last Minute Christmas Party

Scott and I decided to have people over last night for a last minute Christmas party. It was a fun night, but the music and dancing was the best. Using the camera for videos is great on party nights! Scott was taking a video of me singing and dancing to a Neil Diamond song and the boys were in the kitchen talking about how the girls were making fools of themselves. Then, later into the night, all the guys started doing their own dancing. Very entertaining. I got a particularly great video of Josh doing an 80s dance - how awesome is this!?!

We went out to a nice brunch at the Lei Lounge for Katie's early birthday get together. So yummy!

Christmas Party

Last Saturday night, Scott took me to the Stratagene Holiday party. It was fun to get all dressed up and feel Christmasy. I got to see a lot of old friends I hadn't seen in a while and meet some new ones. The party was a gambling one with fake money, so I stuck at the roullette table and won big! Too bad there was no money involved. After the party, a few of us went out late and all the girls took their boys' ties - weren't we cute!? I got a little out of control with some helium balloons that we took from the party and I have quite a few of these videos like you'll see below. (Tiff's embarrassed face).

Julian

On the weekend of Thanksgiving (I know, my posts are late), Kim and I went up to Julian - a cute and quaint little mountain town for the day. We had every good intention of hiking, but the shops just called our names, so we shopped, ate and got some apple pie, which Julian is famous for. It's really a beautiful area and made us feel like it was really fall! She's another Southerner (from Atlanta) and spent 9 months in Costa Rica. It was really fate that had us meet!

Your 1st Christmas Joke

Three men died on Christmas Eve and were met by Saint Peter at the pearly gates "In honor of this holy season," Saint Peter said, "you must each possess something that symbolizes Christmas to get into heaven."

The first man fumbled through his pockets and pulled out a lighter. He flicked it on. It represents a candle, he said. You may pass through the pearly gates Saint Peter said.

The second man reached into his pocket and pulled out a set of keys. He shook them and said, "They're bells." Saint Peter said you may pass through the pearly gates.

The third man started searching desperately through his pockets and finally pulled out a pair of women's panties. St. Peter looked at the man with a raised eyebrow and asked, "And just what do those symbolize?" The man replied, "These are Carols."

And So The Holiday Season Begins
