We're buying a house!

We're in escrow and will probably be closing in a week or so - we can't wait! We'll probably take a month to do repairs, painting, flooring, etc. but we should be living in our new home by the end of July! Just in time for everyone to see it when they're here for the wedding. It's a really cool home built in the 1960's. The best part is really the yard, but I didn't get pictures of it yet... my camera battery died. I keep having people ask for pictures, though so here's a sneak peek!

Quebec trip again

I went to Quebec again for work and got to see my favorite group and hang out with them for dinner. I'm so lucky to work with such a great group of people!

Visit to Kentucky for Kelly's Graduation

My cousin, Kelly graduated from her Master's at the University of Kentucky and Scott and I flew out to celebrate with her. My cousin has always amazed me with how smart she is and as she's gotten older, I'm even more amazed by her every time I see her. She's such a beautiful, sweet, and intelligent woman and she has an amazing personality to boot - Kelly - I love you, babe!

We had a great time visiting with she and her family and my grandmother and cousin Nancy. Never-ending laughs always with this bunch. :-) We drove out into the Kentucky country-side which was beautiful. We also went wine tasting and found some pretty flowers. We also visited the library at the University of Kentucky where my aunt works - it's a really amazing building. I had to take pictures of the walls, too because there were quilts all around the edges. I knew Mary Anne from work would love that.

Zoo and Wild Animal Park

I went a few months back (I'm VERY behind on blogging) to the Zoo and Wild Animal Park with Jo and Bailie. This is our second year in a row to go and see the butterflies at the WAP - it's so much fun! I hope we make it a yearly tradition. We went to see the parakeets (is that what these guys are called?) and they fell in love with my sweatshirt (and my ring!) I had a hard time getting them off me finally, but it was cute. I love the "get in my belly" pose that Balie did - too cute! She and I had fun acting like turtles too. I think it cracked her up that I got in there because I barely fit. :-)
